Da muss man sich ja wundern, dass diese Spinnräder oft so günstig verkauft werden. Ich kenne keine Spinnerin, die mit diesem Rad nciht zufrieden war.The name Ariadne comes from a popular Dutch 1970's knitting magazine.
Ariadne decided that Louet was the best in the business and they made these wheels for the magazine.
It has many similarities with a Louet S10 but the major difference is the flyer brake;
not a leather strap but an adjustable metal half open ring that hangs over the bobbin.
The tension can be regulated by turning the nut with a spring above it. It works very easy.
Another feature is that it can be easily transferred to a left treadling wheel (see pic).
This is a real good production wheel. Great for medium to bulky yarns.
